This is a movie matte project I completed in Digital Illustration class at University of North Georgia in the Spring of 2025. This was entirely created in Adobe Photoshop using organized, non-destructive editing, such a procedural layer masking, layer styles, smart objects, blending modes, and digital painting and clone stamping. For instance, the lion on the side of the mountain was careful painted with the clone stamp tool, borrowing elements from the environment around it. The light source on the church is completely fabricated and repainted to look more natural. Altogether, this wasn’t as photo realistic as I wanted it to be, but turned out to be a strong piece for what may be part of a child’s fantasy film nonetheless. All photos gathered were commercial free stock art.
