ENOKK

Graphic Novel Cover Concept

INFO

"Enokk, my valiant warrior: get thee hence, and let thy sword by thy divining rod unto the slumbering heavens beneath the sun of midnight, seeking out the black stars of thine enemies. Thou shalt traverse the burning sands, the verdant plains, the frozen mountains, and the bottomless seas that rage without cease. Thou shalt take no rest until the vengeance of the Divine Master be accomplished, and the miscreants with their Nephilim offspring trouble the earth no more."

I love classic sword and sorcery, and though I've grown in many ways as an artist, this is my core style. For the final project in digital illustration class for the Spring 2025 semester, we were tasked to produce concept art. I chose a personal character and story I had been developing, which was loosely inspired by The Book of Enoch, a book removed from The Bible, and various fantasy and comic book stories. I wanted to use the "Frazetta lightning bolt" from Against the Gods as a nod to the master, and create a cover filled with power and violent drama. I had a great deal of fun returning to my digital inks and comic book style with a fresh perspective. I hope I can draw the entire book and publish it someday.
