INFO
This was a photograph I took outside our home shortly after my wife and were married. It was a perfect moment after the dark and stormy night before our wedding day, a terrible night when even my car was wrecked. The sun shone like God’s promise to watch our marriage, no matter how many storms we may face.
We lived so far out from town in this place, and we shared a small apartment which was actually a remodeled barn connected to a horse stable. I wasn’t able to get any sort of internet here, so when I started at University of North Georgia, I either completed all of my work on campus after a long commute or hot spotted my phone to desperately attempt to finish homework on time. There many stories behind this photo. This little driveway was also the POV of when I drove my wife to hospital on the day of my son’s birth. This is The Day by The The was even playing on the radio.
Eventually I took Intro to Photography at University of North Georgia during the Spring 2025 semester, and I’m happy to say photography plays a part in my workflow.
During the Fall 2025 semester, this photo was featured in the juried BFA Exhibition.
