During the Spring 2023 semester at University of North Georgia, I took Drawing 1. I basically relearned how to draw in this class at a standing easel and work with graphite and charcoal in ways never presented to me before. This piece required me to try reductive drawing techniques and attempt reflective surfaces with charcoal. In my first try, my professor saw me so frustrated, I just destroyed the drawing in front of him. I remember the look on his face. Priceless. I started over, and things started to work a bit better for me. This turned out to be one of my favorite pieces from that class.
